Everyone is focused on LeBron’s crab dribble and if it was traveling. The problem with LeBron’s excuse is although he did do a crab dribble prior to the travel, it had nothing to do with the 3 1/2 steps he took while driving to the lane. I don’t know what video he was watching, but he definitely drove from outside the paint all the way to the hoop without a dribble. A Crab Dribble is a post up move you use while you back is to the player.

How could something be called a dribble when he didn’t even put the ball down while making the move to begin with?

Oh LeBron, I know you are King James and should be given every call, but there isn’t a player alive that they wouldn’t have called traveling on.

LeBron supporters have been trying to convince me that Kobe or Jordan wouldn’t have been called for traveling but I think that is a myth. I watched Jordan his entire career and he was called for many, many travels a lot less suspect than the one LeBron was called for.

Watch the video. He walks. And Jalen Rose of ESPN explains the Crab Dribble and how that isn’t what LeBron did.

So as you can see, LeBron’s signature crab dribble isn’t the problem.

It’s the walking.
