On February 18th, 2002, LeBron James was anointed the “Chosen One”. Just for the record, there are 44 players in the league that have won titles since he was bestowed this tremendous honor. Websites like No Love For LeBron would not exist if it wasn’t for great publications like Sports Illustrated, who built this kid up to be the savior of the free world. In fact, I am pretty sure he has cured diabetes.
I cannot go a day without reading or seeing how great he is on ESPN, Sports Illustrated, USA Today and other press outlets, and I just don’t think it is fair. No one argues he isn’t a great talent and a good NBA player, but he needs to prove at least something, someday besides he was a weak jump shot and has tremendous arrogance.
The comparisons to Michael Jordan are ridiculous too, by this time in his career, MJ basically redefined the game. LeBron has just recycled a familiar model.
So thanks SI! I wouldn’t be here today without ya!
