The Miami Heat drop their 4th in a row to a quality opponent

I haven’t taken the Heat (43-20) seriously since LeBron James took his talents to South Beach back in July. Since then, many of the league’s best teams have also taken their talents all the way to South Beach and left with smiles on their collective faces. The Heat have lost 8 games at home against playoff teams like Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, New York, Orlando (twice) and 8th seed Indiana. Check back for an update after this tough stretch run ends for the Heat.

But many less intelligent basketball fans and analysts have consistently picked them to win it all this year. And time after time, the Heat have shown us all signs of why we shouldn’t praise them. Sure, they’re as dangerous as anyone come playoff time, but let’s use our heads before we exaggerate their worth too much. For those of you still on the fence, here are just 5 reasons to take them less seriously.

1. Opponent (W/L) – San Antonio Spurs (51-11)
Head to Head – 0-1
Games Remaining – 1 Home

2. Opponent (W/L) – Dallas Mavericks (45-16)
Head to Head – 0-2
Games Remaining – None

3. Opponent (W/L) – Chicago Bulls (43-18)
Head to Head – 0-3
Games Remaining – None

4. Opponent (W/L) – Boston Celtics (45-15)
Head to Head – 0-3

5. LeBron James
